Vulgar Display of Magic is a high-octane fanzine is stacked with a ton of new plug-n-play content that you can drop directly into your fantasy roleplaying games. No endless rambling charts or useless page-filler to suck up space - just the usual grindhouse-style content infused with some denim and leather love for the 70s-80s metal scene.

As a direct follow up to the previous metal RPG zine Magic and Shit, the spells and eldritch rituals in this zine have been designed to bring something a little weird and altogether new to your campaign, while still giving a knowing nod to the games of yore that we all love and remember so fondly.

What will your players do when confronted with the Call of the Moldwalker? Dare they cast Dweomerclasm or face the consequences of the Blessing of the Black Brine? What the hell is an Oath of Nooses or a Prismatic Crucible? Dare they summon the dread powers of Virmak's Shroud of Many Eyes or Huculak's Caustic Doom?

Vulgar Display of Magic contains a slew of new spells and eldritch rituals that are fully detailed and ready to play at your table. This isn't one of those books where you get a couple of lines about statistics and then we move on - we're giving you full descriptions, a little history and a plug-n-play plot hook for every entry, along with killer art by Magic the Gathering fan favorite artist Phil Stone.

The cliche "don't judge a book by its cover" doesn't apply to Vulgar Display of Magic, because what you see is absolutely what you get! The entire zine has a feel and aesthetic that is directly influenced from our favorite metal albums. We wanted it to have the same feel as popping the shrink on a newly purchased copy of Black Sabbath's Master of Reality or Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss, with no guess as to what might actually be inside aside from pure metal madness.

Vulgar Display of Magic is a love letter to the heavy metal albums of the 80's and 90s. We're channeling Metallica's Ride the Lightning, Pantera's Cowboys From Hell and Prong's Beg to Differ. We're disciples at the altar of legendary cover artists like Doug Johnson, Derek Riggs, Pushead, Joe Petagno, Vincent Locke and Ed Repka. Eddie, Snaggletooth, Iron Mask and Vic Rattlehead are our co-pilots!
